Location at Thapwarin Resort, Trang : Getting to TrangBy Car
Route 1: Take Highway No. 4 (Bangkok-Chumphon) to Highway No. 41 (Surat Thani-Thung Song- Huai Yot-Trang). Total distance is 828 kilometers.
Route 2: Highway No. 4 (Bangkok-Chumphon) to Ranong-Phan-Nga-Krabi-Trang. Total distance is 1,020 kilometers.
By Train
From Bangkok: Rapid and express trains depart from Bangkok's Hua Lamphong Railway Station to Trang daily at 5.05 p.m. and 6.20 p.m. taking 15 hours for the 870-kilometer journey.
By Bus
From Bangkok: Air-conditioned buses depart from the Southern Bus Terminal in Bangkok to Trang every day. The trip takes 12 hours.
By Air
Currently, flight connection to Trang is made through the Don Muang airport by Nok Air, an no-frills airline, which operates 2 flights daily from Bangkok to Trang (1.30 hrs) and from Trang to Bangkok.
However, Thapwarin Resort can also be reached by flying to Krabi, Phuket or Had Yai Airport where other overseas and domestic airlines fly daily from Bangkok Transportations by road from Trang, Krabi, Phuket, Khao Lak, Surathani, or Had Yai airports can be arranged by the resort; it consists of a 50 minute drive from Trang, 4 hrs from Phuket Airport and 1.30 hrs from Krabi Airport. These take you directly to Pakmeng Pier in Sikao District, where our boat will then take you to our resort.
Getting to Thapwarin Resort, Koh Ngai
From Trang Airport /Town to Pakmeng Pier, the joint minibus is arranged once a day at 11.30 am. and it takes around 50 minutes. The joint speed boat from Pakmeng Pier to the resort leaves at 12.30 daily and for a 30 minute scenic ride straight from Pakmeng Pier, you will arrive at the resort’s beach.
Moreover, the resort can provide private minibus and boat to and from the resort depending on your arrival.
November to April, our speed boat will then take you for a 30 minute scenic ride straight from Pakmeng Pier to Koh Ngai eventually arriving at the resort's beach . In all, and depending on sea, weather and traffic conditions, the transfer time - from November to April takes between 1.30 hrs to 2 hrs at the most.
May to October, one of our boats will then take you for a 50 minute scenic ride straight from Pakmeng Pier to Koh Ngai eventually arriving at the resort's beach . In all, and depending on sea, weather and traffic condition, the transfer time - from May to October takes between 2 hrs to 2.30 hrs at the most.
